Telemynd Among Early Supporters of the 4+1 Commitment to Advance Military Spouse Employment
Telemynd is proud to be recognized as one of the first 12 organizations to join the 4+1 Commitment: The Formula for Military Spouse Success, a nationwide initiative launched by Hiring Our Heroes and Blue Star Families to improve employment opportunities and career stability for military spouses.
Military spouses are an essential part of our nation’s military community, bringing valuable experience, adaptability, and dedication to the workforce. However, many face unique challenges maintaining long-term careers due to frequent relocations, changing schedules, and the demands of military life. The 4+1 Commitment was created to help address these barriers by encouraging organizations to adopt policies that better support military spouse career success.
Through the initiative, employers commit to implementing military spouse-friendly workplace practices focused on creating more flexible and portable career pathways.
The commitment encourages organizations to adopt at least one of four employment policies:
Facilitating job transferability
Offering remote or telework opportunities
Providing flexible work hours
Supporting Permanent Change of Station (PCS) transitions through paid or permissive leave
Employers are also encouraged to join existing government programs that further support military spouse employment opportunities.
