An electroencephalogram (EEG) is a completely painless, non-invasive test that records your brain’s electrical activity. This helps your physician understand your unique neurophysiology (or brain wave patterns) and provides a basis for comparison against others within the PEER database.
Our Psychiatric EEG Evaluation Registry, or PEER Online®, is a cloud-based platform which allows a growing network of physicians across the country to access our database of over 10,000 scans. This enables physicians to compare and learn which medication treatments have and have not been effective for treating patients with similar brain patterns.
Your EEG and PEER Report are available by appointment only. Once you’ve scheduled your appointment with a PEER-trained physician (this can be your current or our on-site physician), the doctor will review your history and, if necessary, provide you with instructions to prepare you for the EEG.
The EEG is performed on-site at the MYnd Analytics Center, and usually takes less than an hour.
After your EEG has been completed, your PEER results will be reviewed with you by the physician.
